I stayed here in August with my wife and our 2 daughters aged 3 and 6. La Casita is beautifully furnished, has 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen -everything we needed was there. The thick stone walls ensured the cottage was always nice and cool inside. The private pool and outside area is amazing and really well thought out. We loved the shaded pods with beds inside. Paul and Jul ensured our privacy at all times - it was easy to forget there was another house next door! They were always contactable via WhatsApp, quick to respond and incredibly helpful with a minor medical issue that we encountered. Thanks for being such great hosts - we loved your place and highly recommend it to fellow travellers.
The property is gorgeous and is situated in a beautiful, very quiet and very rural location, a short drive (about 15 mins) away from Huercal-Overa. We love the area and liked how quiet and private it was. As we were visiting friends who live in nearby El Puertecico, we could not have picked a better place to stay. The casita itself has a traditional Spanish charm and is very tastefully decorated with some modern touches. The beds were very comfortable and the two en-suite shower rooms were perfect. You enter the property into a very cosy sitting room (perfect for relaxing and cooling off on hot days!) which leads into a lovely kitchen which had everything we needed. At the back of the kitchen is a lovely fly-screened outdoor / indoor seating and dining area, where we spent most of our time. The private pool area at the back of the casita is simply wonderful - a little oasis with a variety of seating / sunbathing areas to choose from and some beautiful plants. The pool was perfect for cooling off in too! Jules was the perfect host. We got a little lost trying to find the property but Jules came to the rescue and helped us find our way! She was always a WhatsApp away if we needed anything, but left us to enjoy the space - which we did! We could not leave a review without mentioning Scout, one of the many cats that are lucky to call this place their home. We fell in love with Scout and she spent lots of time with us. As animal lovers, the cats, dogs and two horses at the back of the property were a real delight! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning. It is a real haven!
Beautiful property in a stunning, rural location.
This is a beautiful rustic property set in a lovely secluded location. The hosts are very welcoming but leave you to enjoy your holiday in privacy. There are various external seating areas which are all lovely places to spend time. The residents cats and dogs make the place feel like a home from home.
The perfect place to chill out.
What a perfect place - Jules and Paul offer Rest and Relaxation and that is certainly what we found. Could not fault a thing within the property. Beds comfy, sheets and towels clean and smelling fresh. Toilets and showers immaculate and in perfect working order. The showers are pretty powerful. The kitchen and BBQ area are very well equipped, you will need for nothing. Swimming pool is clean and so so refreshing to swim in and bigger than it looks in the pictures. This is the first time we have stayed next to the host. Usually it would be a private detached villa. Any fears we may have had were easily forgotten. After a quick chat and formalities we never saw either Jules or Paul for the first week of our 12 night stay. One of the best things they said to us was to be ourselves around the property. If guests are quite they feel they need to be quite. Play your music dance and sing, it’s all fine and it’s enjoyable for the hosts to hear others having a great time. Rent this place you will not be disappointed. We weren’t and we’re quite fussy. We spent half an hour chatting to the hosts before going home about how great our stay was, this shows you the level of care and attention Paul and Jules put into the property. It’s all about the little touches. Perfecto!
Magnífica casa, con todo lujo de detalles, espectacular. La piscina, la barbacoa, toda la parte exterior, todo de 10, hemos estado maravillosamente.

Nous avons passés un moment en famille exceptionnel grâce aux hôtes de cette villa magnifique, rapport qualité prix excellent. Elle très propre et très bien décorée .Elle est très bien située pour les amoureux de la nature, vous êtes coupé du monde mais à 20min en voiture vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin dans le village de Huercal overa. Les hôtes vivent juste à côté et sont à votre disposition pour tout renseignement ou autre demande. Leur façade arrière donne sur la piscine mais celle-ci est condamnée donc aucun vis-à-vis de leur part. Ce sont des personnes adorables, ils entretiennent super bien la maison ainsi que les espaces extérieurs. Vous aurez tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour passer vos vacances en termes d’équipements. Le barbecue au gaz est juste top. Nous sommes tombés amoureux de la décoration ainsi que l’éclairage la nuit autours de la maison ainsi qu’autours de la piscine. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter et nous vous recommandons cette maison à 100%, les hôtes sont très discrets si vous n’avez pas besoin d’eux. Je tenais à les remercier pour ce fabuleux séjour.
Where shall we begin, Jules and Paul kept in contact with us before our holiday, the instructions to get to the villa were brilliant (we did not get lost once). On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Jules and Paul and a lovely hamper. The villa had everything we needed for a 2 week relaxing holiday with a few trips out to the local town to stock up on food and drink. Paul and Jules were on hand if we needed any advice or local knowledge for places to visit but to be honest our family wanted and indeed had a relaxing holiday. If you want a get away from it all holiday with a fantastic pool then we will highly recommend staying at The Casita Spain. We have already booked to go back.
